Sackboy's cutesy charm didn't work on you PlayStation hard nuts, it seems, as Sony's latest answer to Mario was forced to stand aside for brutal shooter Killzone 2 as the PlayStation Game of the Year.

It was voted Playstation game of the year because it was an intense IN YOUR FACE shooter.

The runners up included Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, LittleBigPlanet, Call of Duty: World at War and Fallout 3.

PlayStation gamers are all about the guns, it seems.
