The ignorance of games developers annoys me sometimes. Why can't someone just come along and make a really fun game which will sell well and be remembered for years to come? But no, they have to give us boundaries, annoying ones. 'You can't do this and you can't do that but try and have fun yeah?'

Take Star Wars: Force Unleashed for example. Has it really taken Lucasarts this long to work out that playing as Darth Vader might actually be really cool? Maybe what I'm asking for is a bit more freedom. LittleBigPlanet, sure you can play more expressivly but do we really want to make our Cars out of cloth?

Then there's Guitar Hero. For 3 years we've been doing the same old button holding and pressing and they've figured out that we might actually eventually get bored of this so they let us make our own button holding and pressing. Sure Drums are great fun but it takes some sort of supernatural to play them well.

San Andreas was more sandbox for my liking. But for some reason Rockstar thought 'Ok so we've added some awesome features to San Andreas, now let's take them away again'. Just like planes in GTA4 for example. Because some derranged mother see's their kid pretending to re-enact 9/11 on their games console and sue Rockstar. That doesn't cut it for me. Don't try and cover up by saying "The map's not big enough". Its' new york for crying out loud! Games are too realistic for their own good in games like GTAIV. Real life is boring, games are fun. So don't take away our cool Army tanks because "There aren't any in real life". Are we supposed to benefit from this? If you take away cool features will we really be happier? No.

My ultimate wish would be to ban all budget title games and urge developers to not make stupid decisions. A challenge is fun but a let-down isn't. I'd love a more light-hearted game like Saints Row 2. What other game let's you have a sex change, wear some weird-ass costumes, blow stuff up with an apache helicopter, doesn't have you looking at your health bar every 2 seconds?

I respect that games take longer to make these days, so please, don't screw it up.
