Topic: Repeated Polls/Threads
I've realized why there are so many repeated threads and Polls. Because theres only a handful of us left that stayed so long to see them repeated. 9/10 users, come, stay a few months, then leave. So the ones who are only temporary make "New" polls which they've never seen before. Unfortunately these people aren't very original, so they just make the same "New" polls that every other temporary user has made.
Maybe we should limit polls to people who have been here for a certain amount of time, or have a certain amount of posts. Ha ha no, thats wishful thinking.

Simple mistakes that cause so much disorder, members who use other forums/ have used forums before usually think before doing this anyway.

as concerned as we all are with this, limiting certain features would only dissuade new members from staying here. for instance, in the USA when a person turns 18, they are allowed to vote. However, how exactly would that person feel if they were allowed to vote but could only vote on certain topics until they have voted at least 10 times or so?
I don't think setting limits would be the best thing. I think the new group of mods should be able to handle these repeat topics effectively. I agree that these topics and polls are exactly the same thing... perhaps a counter idea to this (since anybody can complain, but it takes guts to at least come up with another idea) would be to perhaps lock the topic and tell them (or even do it yourself) to go to this old topic, etc. etc.
my two cents anyway.

Yeah, thats what i think, damned if you do either
I usually think about it, then dont bother.... or... write a blog if its something that can be written in that way
But if its a poll, usually they seem to be made.... then after it has died out, several months later, a new guy will come along and recreate it, or, mabye even search to see that it has been done before... and revive it
